About Us

Safe Harbor Yacht Sales was formed primarily to fill a need for boaters in the St. Louis and surrounding area. This need was for a complete, professional, and competent brokerage firm. An organization designed to complete the details, a firm to make the process of buying and selling a boat a pleasurable experience for the customer. Boating is a lifestyle, and sometimes very emotional. The process of selling and buying a boat can be difficult. Dealing with many other entitles, some times over great distances, arranging for financing, insurance, documentation, survey's and in some cases delivery to a remote port, can be a daunting task

We believe that this need is fulfilled with Safe Harbor Yacht Sales. As an avid boater with many years of boating experience and numerous boats ranging from 16-50', we appreciate the details. Having a single organization that can handle all the details, arrange for everything to be taken care of, allows the owner or buyer to concentrate on the joy of owning a new vessel or the seller from perhaps the pain of selling something with a great emotional attachment.

While Safe Harbor Yacht Sales, may be a new organization, we are experienced. As a life long boater, having completed many transactions we understand the process and what it takes to make it a seamless and effortless transaction. We also understand how the boater wants and deserves to be treated, with respect, confidentially and integrity.

We understand that boaters are unique, and whether they own a 20' runabout or a 70' Motoryacht, the joy of being on the water, experiencing everything that the water has to offer, creates a bond between them. The appreciation that they have for boating in general is usually passionate and therefore, their boat, regardless of size is precious. This understanding is essential in the ability to relate to the customer.

In starting this business, we spent a lot of time on the web, looking at every Marine link available and to be honest, where disappointed with most of the results. Most brokerage sites were focused on simply selling boats, most search engines, were looking to list boats from brokers, and finally most sites for other information such as news events, local happenings, and just plain helpful information were not very complete. In all you had to go to several locations to gain all of the valuable information you were looking for. Therefore, our mission was to create a site whereby the avid boater could gain all of the above information at one location. Our reason behind this strategy was not necessarily benevolent, but we believe that if avid boaters that use the web as a source of information and become familiar with our site for such information, then when that boater has a need to buy or sell a boat, naturally they would think of Safe Harbor Yacht Sales first.
