Welcome

Welcome to the first Newsletter from Safe Harbor Yacht Sales. It has been over five months since our last communication, and I thought it was time for an update. The response from my first letter about the launching of SHYS was great; and many people have expressed their good wishes and confirmed the need for this business.
Since then, we have been very busy. We have had some great early success, with the listing and selling of several vessels. Be sure to check out the Customer Profile, for an interesting tale of "Patience". However, we have also been slow to market the company, preferring to learn about all of the details of the business, including financing, tax issues,
insurance and closing procedures. And I might add

what an education it has been and continues to be every day. With every opportunity that comes our way, we find a learning experience, that will no doubt, help us to become better at our job.
I also wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their good wishes and for those individuals that have placed their faith in us to help them sell or find their next boat.
When I decided to start this business, people asked why would I want to do this? Why get back into a business where you have to deal with "the public". My answer was that while the customers would certainly be "the public", they were also boaters. True boaters are the nicest people on earth, and would help anyone in a moment of need. I have found that in the short history of SHYS, those words are in-deed true. Therefore, to everyone that has had a kind word, helped with a problem or has provided much needed information to help with the brokerage business, all true boaters, and all willing to help in any way possible.

Thank you, everyone.

Sincerely,

Tony Green

   The Ship's Log
In the archives of our Nation's History, it tells us that "The Ship's Log" was the definitive document aboard ship. It was the official record of everything that took place aboard. From delivery of food and other supplies, to new personnel, birthdays, deaths, ports of call, and every detail about the ship, it's personnel and their happenings.

Therefore, I can think of no better name for our newsletter, than The Ship's Log.
I have always tried to keep a log on my boat, but unfortunately I have always failed in keeping up with the record. Now that "Safe Harbor Yacht Sales" is up and running, I promise to keep up with "The Ship's Log" in recording all activity for our readers. In this our debut issue, you will find all sorts of information about our activities and useful information. I hope that you find it not only informative, but also worthwhile.
