Yamaha's V Max Series Big Block
The biggest, baddest boys on the block. Yamaha
V MAX® Big Blocks are a tough act to follow. They're 3.1 liters
of brute force, designed especially for today's longer and heavier
bass boats. But these brutes are also big on brains. Sophisticated
sensors constantly monitor engine load, engine speed and engine
temperature, enabling Yamaha's microcomputer to instantly adjust
ignition timing for maximum performance and fuel economy at all
times.
These heart-pounding V MAX® Big Blocks feature
Yamaha's OX66 advanced fuel injection, a wide trim and tilt range
(-4" to +16"), and a High Performance Gearcase to reduce
drag. The enhanced-performance motor mounts are 22% stronger, and
the entire lower unit is specifically designed for the rigors of
pushing a bass boat at high speeds.
- The Offset Crankshaft provides a perfectly synched 60"
firing order, for a smooth ride throughout the rpm. range.
- Micro computer Ignition gives you instant starts and smooth
performance, while alerting you to overheating, over-revving and
low oil conditions.
- Enhanced Performance Motor Mounts are 22% stronger to provide
greater high-speed stability.
- The "squish" angle of each cylinder on our V MAX®
Heads varies to provide greater performance.

 Team Yamaha rides to success through the World Championship of Fishing tournament series powered by stock Yamaha V MAX OX66 225 hp outboards. Leading the way at the first WCF event of the year was Team Yamaha member Dean Rojas who won the boating portion at Monroe La. Dean attributes the rapid hole shot and acceleration of his big block powered Skeeter to being key to helping him achieve his course winning time.
